Miles of Marvelous Mischief
Welcome
The Problem
People I know, people who are close friends, people who are coworkers, people who just got kicked out of foster care, people close to me are having to make horrible choices.
Every day they are having to choose between:
- Being mentally, physically, and emotionally abused or being homeless.
- Being abused but with medical help or or being homeless.
- Being abused but being able to pay for food and school or being homeless.
- Being abused but not exposed to horrific allergies or being homeless.
And some of these people do not have a choice. Their only option is being homeless because the systems in place are completely broken. Not because they want to be homeless or have made choices that lead to them being homeless. All of these people are working hard to achieve their goals and be independent.
Look back over that list. Notice anything? None of these options include safety and security. All of these are choices of pure survival. All of these choices are inhumane. None of these should be a choice.

Housing is a human right.
Not being abused is a human right.
Being safe is a human right.

I created Miles of Marvelous Mischief to help all of these people so they do not have to make the decision between being abused or being homeless. My goal is to be able to offer low-income housing to those who are making these choices every day in the form of RVs. They will have housing that can move as they need to. They can move closer to medical care. They can move closer to school. They can move further away from their severe allergies. They can move completely away from their abusers and be in control of their own lives.
They can be safe.
These are all people who are doing what they can and, how they can, with what they have. Please, help me give them what they need to start living rather than just hoping to survive.

Basic needs are not a privilege.

Survival is not a privilege.
Please help. We can’t change the system but we can make a difference.
